Dear Friends, Clients, and Colleagues, It’s been a while since I’ve written but now I would like to update everyone on what’s been happening. The big events for me have been the Annual Meeting of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) in Honolulu, Hawaii that took place in July 2006, and the opening of the International Center for Veterinary Services in Beijing where I now also serve as the Medical Director and Co-Founder. The Annual Meeting of the AVMA in Hawaii brought the largest attendance records ever in the history of the Association, and the largest number of attendees from Asia as well. There were over 30 veterinarians that attended from China. I was involved in making arrangements for the translation of 4 of the experts’ speeches for them, and it was well received. Many of the events were sponsored by the major dog food companies who are all present in China. Below are photos of myself with some of the participants.... The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) is now officially open for business in Beijing. We are a full service veterinary hospital and there are two doctors on staff that also are certified in Veterinary Acupuncture. Our services are utilizing both Western and Eastern veterinary medicine. Please visit our web site. |

Recently I just returned from delivering two lectures at Cornell University to the veterinary students at the invitation of the American Holistic Veterinary Medicine Club’s student chapter. The talks were also sponsored by Cornell University's local chapter of Veterinarians in Developing Countries and the Graduate Student Council at the University. The students were interested in hearing about the current status of veterinary medicine in China, and also about integrating a holistic approach to practice along with Western medicine. The talks included some case reports, and were well received by all. |
