Summer, 1999
It's been a while since I've last written an update on Assisi Acupuncture, Ltd.
In April we went to Beijing to help the Chinese veterinarians and assist expatriate foreigners with their pets. Much of the work is in communication and expanding the knowledge of the local veterinarians on treatment of less frequently encountered conditions in small animals. During our stay, there was the bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade, Yugoslavia which was taken very seriously by the Chinese. It caused a brief interruption of veterinary services for the foreign community, although otherwise no disruption for the remainder of the population.
Since June, we've returned to find a busy schedule of appointments and inquiries. There have been updates to our stories. We want to express our deepest sympathy to the passing of "Nora" and of "Chocolate". In addition, others are doing better, and we congratulate "Coquita" on the remarkable progress she has made. Please come back soon to see her latest photograph standing up on her own!
Sincerely yours,
Ann-si Li, DVM
